Latin Students from Bishop Lynch compete in Junior Classical League Competition

On Saturday, February 21, 2015, Latin students from Bishop Lynch High School attended the area competition of the Junior Classical League, an organization which promotes the study of the classical world. Two of these students won impressive honors:

Junior Coleman Franchek - 2nd place in Roman History
Junior Lexie Alexander - 4th place in Advanced Grammar and Advanced Reading Comprehension

Recognized for student achievement, leadership, and innovation, Bishop Lynch High School continues to build on a rich heritage that prepares graduates for a lifetime of success. Located in East Dallas and accessible from several major highways, Bishop Lynch serves students throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

In its 50 years, Bishop Lynch has produced more than 350 National Merit Scholars, was named the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) Academic State Champions from 2004-2012, and for 10 consecutive years was recognized as overall TAPPS State Henderson Cup Champions for combined excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts. Known for its ability to challenge students of all talents and backgrounds, and due to the school’s college-preparatory curriculum, virtually 100 percent of graduates attend institutes of higher learning. Millions of dollars in scholarships are awarded yearly to Bishop Lynch students from such prestigious schools as Stanford University, Vanderbilt University, The University of Notre Dame, and the United States Military Academies.
