This fall, Klyde Warren Park presents “Jazz Under the Stars Presented by Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC),” an extraordinary evening of music, community and creativity. Showcasing three versions of innovative and original jazz music on the Muse Family Performance Pavilion, this FREE event brings back the vibe of the Dallas Museum of Art’s wildly popular Jazz Under the Stars series. Artists include:
• Carmen Bradford – Grammy nominated lead vocalist for Count Basie Orchestra (big band swing with 17-piece band)
• Ephraim Owens Quintet – Native-born Dallas trumpet sensation and touring member of Tedeschi Trucks Band (cool jazz with five-piece band)
• John Mills TIMES TEN – Professor of jazz composition at UT and touring professional (fusion jazz with 10-piece band)
RNDC has curated a selection of wines and spirits to complement the distinctive and improvisational melodies. Blanket seating is encouraged for picnics, and plenty of Klyde Warren Park food trucks will be available for dinner. Wine and spirits may be sampled for free, while bars are available for beverage purchase.
VIP tickets are $50 each and include complimentary wine, beer and la Madeleine hors d’oeuvres. All proceeds benefit Klyde Warren Park, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit privately operated and funded by the Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation.
Event is rain or shine and tickets are non-refundable.
