No that is not a typo. H.E.R.O.E.S stands for Helping Everyone Reach Outstanding Educational Success (www.heroesdfw.org). It’s a non-profit organization in our own backyard. They strive to support all families through connections to resources as well as facilitating lifelong learning and long term successes.
Pinot’s Palette – Lakewood is teaming up with H.E.R.O.E.S to bring the joy of art to their students AND Paint It Forward by donating some of the class fee back to the organization.
Why Pinot’s Palette? H.E.R.O.E.S. strives to work on exposing all students, no matter what abilities, to new and exciting activities in the community. Painting and drawing is very therapeutic and it promotes choice making, communication and socialization. We are so thankful that Pinot’s Palette - Lakewood is partnering with us to support these students!
Here are 3 ways you can be a H.E.R.O.E.S.
1. Join us with the H.E.R.O.E.S at Pinot’s Palette – Lakewood for a fun afternoon of painting. Just by registering you’ll be donating $5 back to the organization. Here are the dates: July 15th, July 20th, August 3, August 4th. All classes are from 12-2 PM. www.pinotspalette.com/lakewood/events/july
2. Sponsor a painter. If you don’t have time to paint but want to support this group, shoot us an email and we’ll arrange for you to cover one of the painters costs and we’ll still donate $5 back.
3. Check with your company to see if they would like to sponsor HEROES Summer Day Program field trips. Email info@heroesdfw.org for more information.
