St. Jude freely shares its groundbreaking discoveries, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists can use that knowledge to save thousands more children around the world. And now St. Jude is sharing even more information about childhood cancer with the launch of St. Jude Cloud, an online data-sharing and collaboration platform that provides researchers access to the world's largest public repository of pediatric cancer genomics data.

Developed as a partnership among St. Jude, DNAnexus and Microsoft, St. Jude Cloud provides accelerated data mining, analysis and visualization capabilities in a secure cloud-based environment to researchers around the world. ?

St. Jude is making it possible to leverage the collective power of the global research community to make more discoveries more quickly in the rarest childhood diseases.

The World Health Organization has designated St. Jude Children's Research Hospital its first WHO Collaborating Centre for Childhood Cancer. The designation represents a new push by both organizations to expand efforts that will advance pediatric cancer survival rates worldwide. As a Collaborating Centre, St. Jude is partnering with WHO to develop strategies that strengthen the global resources, organization and planning needed to identify and treat pediatric cancer.

Kickoff Party Planned for 2016 St. Jude Evening Under the Stars Party and

St. Jude Golf Classic, benefiting kids battling cancer, other life-threatening diseases

Benefit to Honor Dallas Mavericks Head Coach Rick Carlisle

DALLAS (May 16, 2016) – This year’s annual St. Jude Evening Under the Stars Party & St. Jude Golf Classic will take place on Saturday, Oct. 22, and Monday, Oct. 24, to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, which is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

To launch the festivities, St. Jude will host a kick-off party from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, at DEC on Dragon in the Dallas Design District.

The October weekend’s event chairs Holly and Doug Brooks will join emcee Doug Dunbar of CBS 11 as approximately 1,000 guests will attend the two-day celebration of the St. Jude mission to help ensure families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
