Want to include your best friend in the excitement and merry making this holiday season?  Bring your dog to the second annual “Lighting of the Christmas Tree” this Saturday in the Central Community Dog Park.

Santa Paws will be on hand to pass out goodies and pose for pictures.  A great photo op! And you may just capture that perfect shot for creating a fun holiday greeting card.

Mallory Jacob and her camera will be back in the “indoor photo studio” taking pup portraits against a seasonal backdrop.

Pets Supplies Plus on Greenville Avenue is preparing doggie bags so that every dog goes home with a treat from Santa while their owner enjoys seasonal foods dictated by the weather. After all, it’s Christmas in Texas.

Christmas Carol sing-a-longs will put everyone in the spirit of Christmas by nightfall when the Christmas Tree and the canopies of the huge Live Oaks will light up the dog park.

The festivities will begin at 3:30 p.m. and end with the ceremonial tree lighting.  The one-acre, fenced-in park is located at 4711 Westside Dr. The event is open to the community and it is free.  Donations are always appreciated and go toward the upkeep of the park.  There is plenty of parking and plenty of seating.  Join the fun and make this a holiday tradition for you and the furry members of your household.
