I think these people trained at IHOP

The Easter Bunny stopped by Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)  Saturday morning to enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast with some local kids and their parents.

Some youngster couldn’t wait for the arrival of the big fuzzy bunny and greeted him with opened arms.  Others were a bit more skeptical taking a few minutes to get to know the silly dancing rabbit.

Even the adults got into the spirit of springtime frivolity and linked their arms around the rabbit (Michael Raines) who led them in the fifties dance sensation “The Bunny Hop” while Erik Stolpe played the catchy tune on the piano.

Games like Rabbit Ring Toss, Pin the Tail on the Bunny and Toss the Bunny Into the Rabbit Hole were available.  Plenty of Easter eggs were found by all and everyone enjoyed the playful celebration before Palm Sunday and Holy Week, leading us to Easter, the holiest of Christian commemorations.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the fun from turning fellowship hall into a spring meadow to cooking and serving pancakes, hiding eggs and entertaining. Thanks Trader Joe’s for donating maple syrup for the pancakes.

Central may be the oldest continuously operating Protestant church in Dallas, but it is young at heart.  Come visit! Oh! And come early Easter morning and have brunch with us before the 11 a.m. worship service.
