What makes a good bowl of chili?  Many Texans say meat, gravy, and spice and no beans or other fillers. Other regions say, “you gotta have beans for a good bowl of red.” 

What do we say at Central Christian Church?  “It has to taste good!” That is about the only rule for entering the annual “John Shinn Chili Cook-Off” that will be held in the church fellowship hall following Sunday morning worship on January 27. 

Join Central as a panel of judges sample crock pots of the meaty stew and declare a winner in the "traditional chili" category and "most creative ingredients" category.  It’s a fun day filled with great food and fellowship.  You don’t have to be a member of Central to enter the cook-off or enjoy a good bowl of chili. It's great family fun and if you are new in the neighborhood, a great way to explore one of Dallas' churches.
