Book Trotters met at Mi Cocina for Christmas cheer
The Book Trotters, a Lakewood book club, collected 150 stuffed animals and brought them to their Christmas party at Mi Cocina in Lakewood last Monday night.
The stuffed toys were taken to Central Patrol and donated to the station.
Officers often carry stuffed toys in their patrol cars to have on hand if a frightened child needs a cuddly toy to console anxiety caused by an accident or other type of call requiring police.
