Celebrating The New Year In Central Community Dog Park

Dogs and their owners donned warm rain attire to combat nippy temperatures and light drizzle and came on out Sunday morning to share some New Year’s cheer at Central Christian Church Community Dog Park.

There were no Bloody Mary’s or Eggs Benedict that you might find on New Year’s Day, but there was love and fellowship as always when people and their pets gather in the dog park.  Rev. Dr. Ken Crawford led a sing-a-long and Elder Tyson Woods a short service for Central dog park visitors.

Sunday morning worship in the dog park began this fall and it has been a hit with  the regulars who visit Central’s CommunityDogPark.

Established ten years ago, the park is a one acre, tree-shaded, off-leash dog park that encourages dog owners to spend some time in a natural, rustic setting with their best friend and others who love their dogs.

There is plenty of seating, water and waste stations.  Bring a book or a coffee and sit a spell anytime (the park is open sun-up to sun-down) or join us at 9 a.m. on the first and third Sunday of the month for the outdoor worship service.  Hope to see you and your dog at church in 2017.
