CPD Back to School Drive 2020

Community Partners of Dallas announces its 27thannual Back to School Drive, benefiting abused and neglected children in Dallas County – but this year with a virtual twist!

“At Community Partners of Dallas, school supplies are the great equalizer that empowers our kids to start the new school year on equal footing with their peers, giving them the opportunity to focus on learning and thriving at school,” remarked Paige McDaniel, CPD president and CEO.  “With the safety of our donors, volunteers, staff, CPS caseworkers and kiddos as our top priority, this year’s drive will be virtual, and we are asking the community for their support to ensure that the 3000 children we will serve this year will be ready to start school whether learning at home or on campus.”

Rather than collecting supplies, CPD has purchased pre-assembled kits of age-appropriate school supplies that will be distributed to the children through their CPS caseworker. Monetary donations are requested to offset the costs of the supplies already purchased. Knowing many companies and organizations are working remotely, customized donation links can be made so that companies and groups can participate collectively to an online drive.

Just $15 will supply one child with age appropriate new school supplies, however multiple donation levels are available through the CPD website.
