Chick Lit Luncheon chair Mersina Stubbs and honorary chair Nancy Perot were joined by supporters and host committee members on Wednesday, February 28, for a kick-off celebration of the upcoming 12th annual luncheon benefiting Community Partners of Dallas.
Held at Interabang Books, guests arrived and mingled while enjoying wine and light bites as they perused the offerings of the recently opened bookstore. On view was a selection of favorite books of Katie Holmes, this year’s featured Chick Lit Luncheon speaker.
Paige McDaniel, president and CEO of Community Partners of Dallas, gathered the crowd mid-way through the evening to thank everyone in attendance for their support of this year’s fundraiser, including presenting sponsors Dr. Robert and Lara Tafel, luncheon chair Mersina Stubbs, honorary chair Nancy Perot and underwriting chairs Cate Ford, Callan Harrison, Brooke Hortenstine and Lynn McBee.
In closing, she encouraged everyone to purchase a table for the soon-to-be sold out luncheon which will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Hilton Anatole.

As guests departed, they were each gifted a Chick Lit Luncheon 2018 t-shirt.
The 12th annual Chick Lit Luncheon will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Hilton Anatole. The event will include a wine reception followed by a seated luncheon, recognition of Partners for Children Award recipient Jan Rees-Jones, and remarks by Katie Holmes.
