Woodrow Wilson defeated Carter 70-68 in the first round of the UIL Boys State basketball tournament Feb. 18 at Forester Field House.  

Craig Martin and Dennis Shouse each scored 14 points for the Wildcats while Carter’s Jeremy Combs, a North Texas signee, scored a game-high 29 points.
