JL Long 6th Grade Soccer players spirits not dampened by rain!

At yesterday’s soccer practice, soon after the team’s warm ups and after our conditioning laps a few rain drops began to fall.  The drops turned to slight drizzle and the drizzle turned into a steady rain.  Springtime is always unpredictable with rains!  Our team packed up and made a run for the covered pavilion at the back of Willis Winters park.  It was a pretty crowded scene with our soccer team and an assorted bunch of other Woodrow and JL Long students who had also escaped the rains.  We took advantage of the opportunity to do some ice breakers and play some games, while staying dry.  As the rain receded the team headed back to practice field and several players noticed a beautiful double rainbow in the sky.  This was too good to be true and a photo op was taken.  Practice proceeded and players went home with some damp clothes, muddy cleats but not dampened spirits.
