The YMCA JL Long 6th grade soccer season was a long and wet one this Spring. To celebrate the end of the season, as is our team tradition, there was an end of season awards dinner hosted at Chips Hamburgers here in Lakewood. Parents, players, family members, friends all showed up. Everyone had a good hungry appetite for good food, fun awards, like the “untied shoe-laces” award along with others up to our selected “ male and female MVP players” for the season. Door prizes were given out and photo packages distributed. It was a great way to end the season and schoolyear! One of our players David Bayer, even made his rock and roll debut and played a mini concert for the group! Upcoming registration for next season will be happening closer to the end of Summer.
