Lucky Dog Books is happy to host two complimentary events this Wednesday evening, Dec. 4 related to food production, and its distribution to us from the local to the international.

Part One: Promise Of Peace Gardens and Michelle's Organic Marshmallows

Elizabeth Dry of Promise Of Peace Gardens will be presenting the value of community gardens to the real food movement.

Hot chocolate will be served, complimented by Michelle's Organic Marshmallows

Unique holiday gifts will be for sale including organic marshmallows and organic spring seed packets.

And we will be recruiting interested volunteers for Lucky Dog Storybook Garden behind this Lucky Dog Books!

Come and learn what's growing on and how you can get involved! This deliciousness and information will be from 6-7 p.m.

Part Two:  Foodopoly Author and Book Discussion

Join Food & Water Watch's Executive Director Wenonah Hauter as she discusses her new book, "Foodopoly."

"Foodopoly" exposes the real culprits threatening our food system consolidation and corporate control, which are preventing farmers from raising healthy crops and limiting the choices people can make in the grocery store.

After the discussion, Wenonah will be available to sign copies of the book for anyone in attendance.

View the book trailer here.

This is scheduled for 7-8:30 p.m.

Seating is limited, so come early and enjoy the seasonal refreshment and information on community gardening in this area.

Both of these events will take place at the Lucky Dog Books located at 10801 Garland Road.
