You are invited to the Lakewood Branch Library on Wednesday, January 15 for a free presentation of the historical novel, “The House on Swiss Avenue,” by Texas author and historian Irene Sandell. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. for seating and light refreshments. The program begins at 2 p.m.

The book tells the story of two contemporary women, separated in age by two generations, who come to terms with their lives while living in an historic house on Swiss Avenue. Using her skills as a lively storyteller of Texas history, the author weaves the history of Dallas throughout the narrative.

The presentation will be followed by a book signing. Enter the free drawing for a signed copy of the book.
