Woodrow Wilson lights up Fort Worth Eastern Hills, 49-27

The Woodrow Wilson football team improved to 2-0 on the season with a show of offensive force against Fort Worth Eastern Hills on Friday that gave the Wildcats a lopsided victory, 49-27.

Woodrow took control early with two touchdowns in the first quarter. However, Eastern Hills would respond with two touchdowns of their own in the second to tie the game at 14 apiece. From the start of the second half, however, it would be all Wildcats, as Woodrow scored three consecutive touchdowns in the third to take a commanding lead.

The two teams would trade scores in the fourth quarter but it wasn't nearly enough for Fort Worth Eastern Hills to mount a comeback. Running back Shaquille Dottin and quarterback Piers Christian, the stars of last weeks game, were again the catalyst for the Wildcats' victory. Both scored three touchdowns; Christian threw for 156 yards while Dottin tore it up on the ground for 161 yards.

The Wildcats play their first home game of the season next Friday against North Forney High School.
