Woodrow Wilson hopes to put last week's loss behind them with a strong showing against Seagoville

Woodrow Wilson (2-1) was dealt its first loss on the gridiron last week by North Forney in a 48-24 defeat. Before that, the Wildcats were 2-0, with both wins coming on the road. Now, after losing the first game of their three-game homestand, Woodrow hopes to get back on track when they play Seagoville (1-1) on Friday, September 16.

Dual-threat quarterback Piers Christian continues to lead the charge for the Wildcats. Capable of scoring both through the air and on the ground, Christian has racked up eight touchdowns so far on the season. He has thrown for 476 yards and has run for 201 yards and has only thrown two interceptions.

Running back Shaquille Dottin has also been a strong constant for Woodrow, amassing 312 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. He's also caught nine passes for 114 yards and a touchdown.

Woodrow's defense is a concern, however. After only allowing Denton to score 13 points in the first game, the Wildcats have allowed 27 points to Fort Worth Eastern Hills and then gave up 48 to North Forney last week. This game may come down to a shoot out in the end.

Kickoff for Friday's game is at 7:30.
