White Rock Lake is going to be overrun on Saturday during the annual Tour des Fleurs, which is hosted by and benefits the Dallas Arboretum. The event, which is comprised of two races – a 10K and a 20K – will begin bright and early Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m.

This is the sixth annual Tour des Fleurs and will have over 3,500 participants. Both the 10K and 20K have been sold out but people are invited to watch and cheer for the runners. And if you don’t want to stand out in the heat, relax beneath the shade in the Arboretum and check out Autumn at the Arboretum before it event opens. There will be live entertainers, food and plenty of photo opportunities.

And, in case you haven’t been to a previous Tour des Fleurs, there is quite an after-party that everyone is invited to attend. Chill out on the Martin Rutchik Concert Lawn and listen to LIVE 80 as they jam out to some of the best songs of the 1980s. Many local restaurants will be offering various eateries for purchase. And best of all, there will be massage therapists on hand for anyone that needs a rub down after their run.

The weather looks like it may finally have cooled off and this means it’ll be a great weekend for the Tour des Fleurs. So, whether or not you’re participating in the race or just going for the view, come out this weekend and check it out.
