Being a National Merit Semifinalist is an achievement that few can claim. This year, 16,000 students were named National Merit Semifinalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation and they'll go on to compete to become National Merit Scholars.

North Texas had 404 National Merit Semifinalsts and one of them hails from Woodrow Wilson High School. John Schadegg is the lone representatives of the Wildcats for 2011. Good luck to John and all the seniors at Woodrow Wilson in their applications for college.
