Woodrow Wilson struck first but the defense was unable to halt North Forney's running game and the Wildcats eventually fell, 48-24, for their first loss of the season. Woodrow is now 2-1 on the year.

Quarterback Piers Christian scored the first points of the game with a six-yard run and would account for all three of the Wildcats' touchdowns in the game. He completed 14 passes for 207 yards. He tied with running back Shaquille Dottin with 60 yards on the ground as well.

But the main story was North Forney's rushing attack. The Falcons had three rushers with over 100 yards on the ground, including their quarterback, Stephen Buckley, who completed only two passes - one was for a touchdown - but rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown. Their running back, D'Andre Randall had two big scoring plays of 84- and 63-yards to finish the game as the top rusher.

Woodrow continues their three-game homestand next week when they play host to Seagoville High School on Friday, September 16,
