Learn How Cheese and Wine Pair Together

Bringing out cheese with some wine to match always adds some class to parties and events. However, it can quickly backfire if the wrong cheese is paired with the wrong wine. Fortunately, the Mozzarella Company is offering a Cheese & Wine Pairing Class beginning in January 2012.

The class begins with a cocktail party followed by a behind-the-scenes tour of the cheese factory. After the tour does the class really begin. All the participants will be seated at a table with a plate of cheese and variety of wine glasses. Paula Lambert (Mozzarella Company Founder) and wine expert John Bratcher of Rockridge Wine Brokers will pair six to eight award-winning cheeses with a minimum of five wines.

Afterwards, there will be an organized discussion on the basics of cheese and wine. Guests are encouraged to ask any questions that come to mind throughout the tour and during the pairing. And if hosts want to really impress their guests, they can take another class and get hands-on training to learn how to make their own cheese.

Both classes are two hours long and have a minimum class requirement of 10 and a maximum class size of 20. To learn more about the classes, visit the Mozarella Company website.
