Lakehill Preparatory School is hosting its 13th Annual Trek for Tech on Saturday, November 12, 2011. The one-mile Fun Run and chip-timed 5K race begins and ends at Lakehill’s main campus at 2720 Hillside Drive.

The Fun Run will begin at 8:00 a.m. and will be followed by the 5K at 8:30 a.m. In honor of the school’s 40th Anniversary Celebration, a 40-yard dash will be held for Lower School students before the Fun Run.

An awards ceremony will follow the races at 9:30 a.m. Awards will be presented to the best overall male and females finishers and top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-19. Additionally, the first place male and female finishers from the older age groups will also be awarded. Those age groups are 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+.

Packet pick-up is available at the school on November 10 and 11 from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. and on race day beginning at 7:00 a.m.

Registration is $20 prior to race day and $25 on the day of the race. All proceeds are used for technology enhancements for the school. Get more information and register online at the Trek for Tech website.
