The Bryan Adams Girls Basketball program is headed to the UIL Texas State Championship.  The Cougars, under the direction of Head Coach Darren Eubanks, defeated Arlington Sequin in the 5A II Regional Championship 64-60 at Garland's Curtis Culwell Events Center. The Cougars trailed after one quarter of play 7-19.  They outscored Sequin in the 2nd 18-6 and led at halftime 27-23.  After three periods of play, BA led Sequin 42-33. Sequin did not back down. They outscored the Cougars in the 4th 27-22, but it wasnt' enough, as the Lady Cougars won the game 64-60.

Fabrianna Dixon led the Cougar offensive attack with 19 points, followed by Alexxus Gilbert's 15. Gilbert scored 33 points in Saturday's Semi-Final win over Mansfield Lake Ridge.   Jerice Fears scored 9 points and Jada Nixon scored 8.

The Cougars advance to the State Tournament March 5-7th in San Antonio, Texas where they will play Cedar Park Vista Ridge, March 5th at 8:30pm in the Alamodome.
