The Woodrow Wilson football team (9-1) was a powerhouse in District 12-4A, dropping only a single game all season and going undefeated in district play. Now, they'll look to make a deep push into the playoffs, and they'll start by taking on Molina High School (6-4) on Friday at Wilmer-Hutchins Stadium.

Much of the Wildcats' success this season stems from their prolific offense. Running back Shaquille Dottin has powered Woodrow Wilson on the ground, amassing 1,124 yards and 18 touchdowns on 168 carries. He averages 6.69 yards per carry and averages just shy of scoring two touchdowns a game. Much of the success of the passing game can be attributed to the passing game, which spreads out the defense and allows Dottin room to run.

Quarterback Piers Christian is the head of the Wildcats' aerial attack and his arm has carried Woodrow to more than a few wins this season. Christian completed 116 passes this season for 1,647 yards, 17 touchdowns and just two interceptions. His top receiver is wide receiver Andre Plata, who has caught 44 passes for 754 yards and 10 touchdowns.

But Christian is just as dangerous with his feet as he is with his arm. He's rushed 156 times for 749 yards and 12 touchdowns. While he's not quite as dangerous as Dottin on the ground, Christian certainly gives the opposing defense fits when trying to defend him. Christian has over 2,400 all-purpose yards and has either scored or been responsible for the scoring of 29 touchdowns.

On defense, the Wildcats will have one primary focus: Molina's running back Thomas Hughes. Hughes has rushed 205 times this season for 1,179 yards and nine touchdowns. The Molina passing game is nearly non-existent. The Jaguars' top quarterback is Miguel Ortega - he's completed seven passes all season for 157 yards and two touchdowns.

The game is scheduled to kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
