New Trans-Denominational Spiritual Community Takes Root in Lakewood
Over the past year, a small but mighty community has been forming in the Lakewood area of Dallas. Founded as a Center for Spiritual Living community less than a year ago, HeartSpace Dallas is a trans-denominational spiritual community made up of like-minded individuals from all walks of life who come together to grow, celebrate and discover a new way to live.
“Services” are held in one of Lakewood’s favorite watering holes, Times Ten Too, 2018 Kidwell Street, on Sunday morning at 11:30 a.m., and are led by Reverend Chris Terry, a recovering alcoholic.
This is an amazing story on so many fronts. First, Reverend Chris Terry’s vision to start a spiritual community in East Dallas, and secondly the generous support of two of Lakewood business owners, Kert Platner and Rob Wilson. Their commitment to give back and be of service in the community where they do business is unparalleled.
This “church in a bar” has unfolded over the past year, and has evolved to become a community dedicated to spiritual connectedness and growth right in their own backyard!
The community is invited to join the Sunday Experience and see for yourself the magic that is unfolding. There are fabulous musicians who perform each Sunday, incluiding The Cellers Band, Andrew Griffin and Brad Williams, and a room full of local Lakewood residents, as well as those who travel far, who “have come home to themselves in a way they never knew they could.” Visit: www.heartspacedallas.org.
