Join the East Dallas Chamber for its next exciting program “Live Local, Spend Local…Why East Dallas Works!” as a panel of East Dallas entrepreneurs share their vision for East Dallas, their “secrets to success” and discuss why East Dallas is one of the hottest growth sectors in Dallas. With three distinctly different backgrounds, each is a resident of East Dallas, is involved in our community and has successfully established/invested in businesses in areas of East Dallas with explosive growth of dining and drinking establishments, which are ripe for retail and housing developments. The event will be held at The Point at C.C. Young, located at 4748 W. Lawther Drive, Suite 100 on Tuesday, June 18. Networking will begin at 11:30 a.m. and the program and lunch will begin at noon. The event costs $30 for members and $35 for guests.

Marybeth Shapiro of Republic Title and Founder of Live Local East Dallas will present a short introduction on the “Live Local” concept.

Darlene Ellison of Veritex Community Bank-Lakewood will moderate the program. Panel participants include:

  • Kert Platner, Times Ten Cellars and Blow Salon
  • Alex Winslow, The Lot and Richmond Properties, former President of the Lakewood Neighborhood Association
  • Matt Tobin, Goodfriend Beer Garden and Burger House
