The Book Trotters, the Lakewood and M-Streets book club, met Monday evening, June 3 at Times Ten Cellars to discuss their May reading selection, "The Song of Achilles." 

Madeline Miller’s "The Song of Achilles" is the retelling of the legend of Achilles and the Trojan War. It is a tale of gods, kings, immortal fame, and the human heart. Selected by book club member, Pam Thomas, it was a classical hit among the Book Trotters. 

Greek salad, dolmas, spanakopita, figs and Baklava were enjoyed along with Times Ten wine to set the mood for the book discussion. 

What’ll the Book Trotters read about next month? Perhaps a big party on Long Island, as they visit the classic set in the 1920s, "The Great Gatsby."
