Woodrow Wilson Cheerleaders Partner With Local Businesses

The Woodrow Wilson Cheerleaders have kicked off their annual "Woodrow Nation We Believe" campaign and are inviting local businesses to join. Each year the cheerleaders make and sell t-shirts that read "Wildcat Nation—We Believe." They partner with local businesses to make the shirts and list the sponsors on the back.

Last year, the shirts were so popular they sold out. Not only are the shirts big sellers, but all 24 members of the Varsity Squad are required to wear them to various events throughout the year to promote school and community spirit.

"Wildcat Nation" does not just refer to the Lakewood community. There are people all over Texas who are members of Wildcat Nation. Heisman Trophy winner Tim Brown, who played for the NFL and hosts our annual golf tournament, is a proud member of the Wildcat Nation. So was race car driver and auto designer Carroll Shelby.

This is a great way to support the community and advertise your business. Sponsorship is priced at $200 per logo. The logos appear on the back of the shirt. The design on the front features the Woodrow Wilson High School Wildcat and the words "Woodrow Nation—We Believe."

To sign up to support the Woodrow Nation, contact Dena Farnsworth at 469-855-1444, or email the Woodrow Wilson High School Cheerleaders at woodrowwilsoncheer@yahoo.com.
