Mr. Moran and some of the senior cheerleaders

After an intensive search and review from parents, teachers, staff, and DISD administration, the perfect principal for nationally ranked Woodrow Wilson High School has been selected, and he is Mr. Michael Moran.  The review focused on someone who has a personal investment in our East Dallas community, inclusive in their methodology, and well-versed in enriching the multiple needs of our culturally diverse student population.

Mr. Moran fits that description and then some!  He was a beloved English teacher at Woodrow who helped establish the IB Program, and was named Teacher of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce.  In his mission to share and grow his expertise, Mr. Moran then became a DISD instructional coach and an Assistant Principal at Bryan Adams for four years.

It hasn't taken Mr. Moran very long to become a greater part of East Dallas--it took no arm-twisting at all to have him be a part of the Lakewood 4th of July Parade!  He received a very enthusiastic welcome from the crowd of former, current, and future Woodrow students and their families.
