People take pride in their food and especially in their chilis. There are secret family recipes, special ingredients and even specific ways to cook and stir. Lakewood Elementary is inviting all chili enthusiasts to sign up and have their chili compete with the best in the second annual Stallion Stew Chili Cook-Off.

The Stallion Stew Chili Cook-Off is happening as part of Lakewood Elementary FallFest on Saturday, October 27 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Interested participants can sign up either solo or in a group with up to four members. For a registration form, email thehattofamily4@gmail.com.

Teams are responsible for supplying all their own ingredients and cooking devices. All teams must also be self-supporting, as no electricity will be provided. Chili should be prepared off-site and then transported to the Fall Carnival.
