Junior League of Dallas Announces Theme for 2013 Ball

Last Wednesday, September 12, Junior League of Dallas (JLD) members and supporters gathered together for the Ball Theme Announcement Soirée in anticipation to learn of the theme for the 51st Annual Junior League of Dallas Ball, presented by Sewell. Honorary Chair Caren Prothro was in attendance, and the evening was sponsored by Community Trust Bank. The event took place at 4441 S Versailles Avenue, a venue that was generously donated by Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty.

With much excitement, JLD 2013 Ball Chair, Bunny Cotten, announced that the theme of the 2013 JLD ball is “Joie de Vivre,” a French saying that expresses excitement for life. Cotten explained that the theme is a reflection and celebration of the League and all that is made possible by its donors, members and volunteers. “The League is unique in our ability to combine donations, along with volunteer woman-power, to improve the Dallas community using a hands-on approach,” says Cotten.

It was also revealed that entertainment at this year’s ball will be provided by Andy Grammer. Grammer was named as one of Billboard’s “Artists to Watch,” in 2011, and is known for his Top 5 hit single “Keep Your Head Up.” The romanticism of the French-inspired theme in combination with the excitement of the evening is sure to create the perfect ambiance to honor members and guests who support the League in all its volunteer and donation endeavors.

The Ball will take place on Saturday, February 23, 2013 in the Chantilly Ballroom at the Hilton Anatole Hotel. For individual tickets or sponsorship opportunities, please visit www.JLD.net or contact Tammy Barger at 214-357-8822, extension 118, or tammy_barger@jld.net.
