Kellie Rasberry recently celebrated 25 years on the radio as one of the co-hosts of the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show on KHKS - 106.1 KISS FM. While she has no plans to retire anytime soon, she admits she felt the need to spread her wings and branch out to other ventures. So why an online store? In part, because she loves to shop and in part because she is searching for a way to stay connected to her now 13-year old daughter, Emma Kelly. Rasberry bought the domain EmmaKellyAndMe.com when Emma Kelly was a baby, not really knowing what I would do with it. "For the longest time, it was just the two of us against the world. And as a single mom, my goal was to raise a daughter filled with a spirit of independence, generosity, compassion, and confidence. It's a goal I’m still striving to achieve to this day," said Rasberry, "So when I was looking for the perfect name to represent my venture into the fashion business, Emma Kelly & Me was my first and only choice." For the initial launch of the site, Rasberry collaborated with local designer Parker & Hyde on three leopard-print handbags made from genuine Brazilian “Hair on Hide” leather. The bags feature a striking raspberry pink canvas interior and complementary leather tassel. Rasberry has hand-selected what she calls "elevated basics" for the site that are high quality, functional, and versatile - all under $100. "Emma Kelly & Me is a clothing and accessories brand with a goal of dressing women (and women-in-training) in apparel that gives them confidence." said Rasberry, "I believe clothing does more than just cover the body. Clothing is a reflection of how we feel about ourselves.
