Lakehill Preparatory School is hosting its 14th annual Trek for Tech on November 10.

The one-mile Fun Run and 5K chip-timed race begin and end at the school’s main campus at 2720 Hillside Drive in Lakewood. The Fun Run begins at 8:00 a.m., followed by the 5K at 8:30 a.m.

An awards ceremony will follow the race at 9:30 a.m. Awards will be presented to the overall male and female finishers and the top three finishers in the following age groups: 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-19, and first place male and female finishers in the following age groups: 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.

Packet pick-up is available at Run On at 5400 East Mockingbird Lane on November 6, 7, and 8 (Tuesday through Thursday of race week) from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the school on November 9 (Friday before the race) from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., and beginning at 7:00 a.m. on race day.

Registration is $25 prior to the race at https://secure.getmeregistered.com/get_information.php?event_id=7083. Online registration closes at midnight on November 8. On-site registration is available at Lakehill Preparatory School on November 9 from 8:00-10:00 a.m. and 3:00-5:00 p.m.  Late registration is $30. Participants will receive a race t-shirt. The band The Happy Alright, featuring Lakehill front man Sterling Gavinski, will perform during the event.

All proceeds from the race are used for technology enhancements for the school.
