Big Four accounting firm KPMG hosted Woodrow

Students from the Woodrow Wilson High School Academy of Finance attended a range of activities, including a presentation on different accounting careers, a panel discussion on academia, and how to properly prepare for long careers in the accounting and finance industries. A networking session with KPMG staff members was also held.

KPMG and NAF (affiliated with Woodrow) have a working relationship across the country, with the Big Four firm helping to develop the organization's accounting curriculum, as well as provide internship opportunities to students. KPMG staff also provides mentorship programs, job shadows, speed networking and paid high school internships to National Academy Foundation students.

Woodrow accouting students are accredited by the Internal Revenue Service to prepare individual tax returns. The IRS has only certified three Texas high schools.
