Students at Wee Can Academy - Ross Avenue, an open enrollment program for young children, held their first annual Holiday Extravaganza Thursday, December 21st at the Texans Can Academy – Dallas Ross Ave. campus.

Teachers and students of the infant, toddler and preschool classes welcomed family and friends of Wee Can Academy and Texans Can Academy with classic Christmas carols presented by each age group.  Parents, grandparents and other family members watched the adorable pageant with each class performing a different song bringing both laughter and tears to the audiences’ faces.

The Christmas carols included Jingle Bells, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, 12 Days of Christmas and Here Comes Santa Claus.

Following the delightful Christmas serenade Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived to greet the children who went wild with excitement to see their favorite North Pole visitor. Santa Claus greeted the children and reminded them to stay on the Nice List. He then had presents for every child enrolled at the early childhood development center.

Wee Can Academy – Ross Avenue provides developmentally appropriate practices to enrich the lives of young children through play, social and academic activities which will provide experiences that will stimulate the physical, emotional and cognitive growth of each child.

Wee Can Academy has six locations located throughout the state of Texas and offers high quality, affordable care for children four weeks of age through age 12. The program was created by Texans Can Academy to help address barriers to education for high school students, such as early parenthood.

Wee Can Academy also serves to help children of the academy’s staff and those who are classified as homeless.
