It was homecoming week at Lakehill Preparatory School, and everyone caught the Warrior spirit! Each day of the week was a "Spirit Day" with great participation. From Super Heroes to Cowboys and Cowgirls, students, faculty, and staff got into the spirit of Homecoming.

The Homecoming Court included freshman Becca Currey, escorted by freshmen Kevin Lantz; sophomore Samantha Caldwell, escorted by sophomore Drake Allred; and junior Haley Gladden, escorted by junior Brandon Shaw.

Senior Nominees for Homecoming Queen included:

Jenna Burch, escorted by junior Drew Norman

Laura Currey, escorted by senior Ryan Kennedy;

Lauren Davenport, escorted by senior Cris McCarty

Taylor Pike, escorted by junior Hudson Trent; and

Kacie Poston, escorted by senior Josh Wood.

The school held its second-annual Homecoming Parade on Oct. 19, complete with floats, convertibles, the Drum Line, Homecoming Court and good fun for all. Students, faculty, parents, alumni and members of the community lined the route. More than 600 fans poured into the gym for an amazing black-light pep rally.

Homecoming also brought former students back to campus. A large crowd gathered at the Alumni Dinner, held in the Alumni Garden prior to the game.

The Middle School football team took the field at 5 p.m. followed by the Varsity showdown at 7:30 p.m. against the A+ Academy Knights.

Former Varsity Football captains were presented during the game, followed by the highly anticipated presentation of the Homecoming Court and crowning of the Homecoming Queen at halftime.

Ayana Heard, 2011 Homecoming Queen, presented the crown to this year's Homecoming Queen, Taylor Pike. Taylor was escorted by Hudson Trent. Ayana, a freshman at North Park University in Chicago, was escorted by Lakehill Headmaster Roger Perry.
