A fantastic crowd turned out this past Sunday to hear the Woodrow Wilson Wildcat Band as it hosted it's 5th Annual Fundraising event at the Granada Theater in Lower Greenville with a 1970's funky homage to the "Good Decade" featuring vocals from Captain and Camille and a special appearance by Chadwick Murray and Andrew Williams.  The Woodrow Wildcat band played tunes the Moody Blues, Sanford and Son and other television show tunes.  Captain and Camille sang songs from Abba, Carly Simon and many others.  Chadwick Murray belted out some Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Seals and Crofts.   Andrew Williams, friend of Mr. Chris Evetts WWHS Band director, came out and played some fabulous Santanna for the crowd.  You could feel the groove as people's heads were rocking, hands clapping and feet tapping to the tunes of the 70's era! As always the Woodrow Wildcat Band Boosters and the Granada Theater staff put on together a fantastic show featuring none other the Woodrow Wildcat Band and Chris Evetts as it's fearless leader.  Proceeds from this event go to fund the band's efforts in continuing education, instruments and band outreach.  Thank you to all of this year's sponsors and the Woodrow and East Dallas Community for making this event a success!
