Prince Giadolor leads the Warriors to another victory.
The Lakehill Preparatory School gym was packed on February 11 with fans from both sides, each hoping for a different outcome. It was the final regular season game of the year. Covenant had to win to advance to the playoffs, and Lakehill needed a win to secure second place in district and host the first round of the playoffs. With each team refusing to lose, the game continued through four overtimes. In the end, Lakehill prevailed, 99-96. Prince Giadolor of Rockwall contributed 49 points, 18 rebounds, and eight assists. Drew Norman had 19 points and five assists while Josh Wood had 13 points and seven rebounds. Keith Mitchell added another ten points to the total.

Three-time Bi-District Champions
Lakehill faced a strong opponent, Kennedale Fellowship Academy, on February 19 in the first round of playoffs. The Warriors knew they would have to be at their best, and they were, defeating Kennedale and earning the title of Bi-District Champions for the third consecutive year. Giadolor, in a performance that would earn him top mention in Tuesday's Standouts by The Dallas Morning Newshad 44 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists in the 82-57 win. Norman offered 11 points and five assists and Wood contributed nine points and eight rebounds. MitchellHudson Trent, and Brandon Shaw kicked in an additional six points each.

The Road To State
The Warriors now advance to the Area Round of the State Playoffs, traveling to Waco on February 22 to take on long-time rival Waco Vanguard. The Warriors split with Vanguard last year (when the teams were in the same district) after Cris McCarty memorably sank two free throws with just five seconds left on the clock.
