Emily Allton and Rachel Myers made a splash in Lakehill's swimming debut.

On February 1, Lakehill Preparatory School junior Emily Allton and sophomore Rachel Myers competed in the TAPPS Division III Regional Swim Meet as the first-ever representatives from Lakehill to compete in a swim meet. This all-day event came with great successes for both girls, as they qualified for state in every race in which they competed.

Allton swam the 100-meter breaststroke and placed third. Myers took first place in the 100-meter freestyle and second place in the 100-meter backstroke. Both girls qualified for the state meet on February 15 in San Antonio. Going into the State Finals, Allton is ranked fourth in the state for the 100-meter breaststroke, and Myers is ranked second in the state for the 100-meter freestyle and fifth in the 100-meter backstroke. Myers said, "It was a really fun and exciting day, and I am proud to say that I competed for Lakehill in a swim meet for the first time."
