Senior Keith Mitchell contributed 7 touchdowns to the victory.

The Lakehill Warriors made their return to six-man football in explosive fashion, defeating Irving Universal (UIL) 105-69. The 105 points is a school record for points in a game. The game remained close for the majority of the first half, but Lakehill slowed down the Eagle offense in the second half to break the game open.

The Lakehill offense accounted for over 700 yards, led by three rushers with over 100 yards. Senior Keith Mitchell had 293 yards and 7 TDs, senior Johnathan Page had 166 yards and 4 TDs, and junior Sean Puls added 105 yards and 1 TD. Senior Drew Norman completed 3 of 4 passes for 75 yards, including 2 TD passes to freshman Brandon Bartholow.

Defensively the Warriors were led by senior Hudson Trent and sophomore Brandon Douglas, with 12 tackles each. Senior Brandon Shaw had a great all-around game, contributing 12 tackles, 2 INTs, and 179 kick return yards with 1 TD.

Lakehill is 1-0 on the season and will host Wise County Christian on Friday, September 13 at Perry Field at 7:30 p.m.
