Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) has designated Sept. 8 as "Back to School Sunday." As part of the renewed focus on children and families at Central, the church will celebrate the start of school with a special blessing during the worship service.

Kids, bring your back packs to church! They will be blessed to help you get off to the best start ever for the coming school year. And teachers, bring your favorite red pen and grade book as you, too, will receive a special blessing. An ice cream social in the fellowship hall will follow the service. 

As the oldest continuously operating Protestant church in Dallas, Central marks its 150^th anniversary this year. Located at 4711 Westside Drive, Central's Sunday worship service begins at 11 a.m. All are invited to this fun-filled family day at church.
