Thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to the 13th Annual Lakewood LibraryFest and Annual Book Sale, which was a great success and a fun day for the community.
Rebecca V., the winner of the free drawing for the Kindle PaperWhite eReader, was so excited about it, she made a trip back to the library to pick up her prize. Lakewood Branch manager Leslie Lake is available to help her set up Overdrive on the Kindle as soon as it is charged. Rebecca will then be able to begin downloading materials from the Dallas Public Library’s digital catalog for free.
The book sale was well attended, but the tables will be restocked with great selections as the sale continues daily Tuesday through Saturday, September 10-14 until 4 p.m. The sale begins at noon on Tuesday and Thursday, and at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
