This Fall soccer season started off a bit wet!  This normally happens in the Spring, but with our drought we all knew we needed the rain!  With only one practice under their belt, the JL Long 6th grade Bucs came back to their 2nd practice ready and roaring to go.  The humidity was high after the recent rains, so we had a good discussion on hydration and drinking water and eating healthy both at practice and at home.  Much time in our first practices is the team players getting to know each other's names and doing some basic drills, since many have still not purchased all of their soccer gear (cleats and shin guards).  The roster has shrunk from 25 players, down to 19 that really want to play and are fully registered.  Parents, players and coaches are looking forward to a great upcoming Fall season!
