Fall is the perfect time of year for parties and get-togethers, and lots of family-friendly events are popping up across Lakewood this month.

This Saturday, October 15th, the Lakewood Hills Neighborhood Association is hosting a neighborhood block party from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The party, which will take place at Brendenwood and Coronado, features fun games for the kids, a dessert contest, and tours of a fire truck from the Dallas Fire Department. Plus, if you pay your membership dues (and are 21-years-old and up) you can snag some free beer! For more information, click here.

For readers who are members in the Lakewood Heights Neighborhood Association, be sure to check out “Pumpkins in the Park” on Saturday, October 22nd. The event, which goes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tietze Park pavilion, will be chock-full of fun activities for the whole family. There’ll be a chili cook-off and a cookie bake-off with the chance to win some fun prizes, and also pumpkin carving for the kids (with an adult present).  Click here for more information.

On Saturday, October 29th, the Lakewood Trails Neighborhood Association is hosting the “2nd Annual Halloween Block Party” from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the 6800 block of Sperry.  Attendees can indulge in a juicy burger from The Hamburger Man while listening to a DJ play your favorite songs.
