As they have all season, quarterback Piers Christian and running back Shaquille Dottin led the Woodrow Wilson football team to victory on Friday night. Their latest victim was Spruce High School; the final score was a lopsided 48-6. The Wildcats now have a tight hold on first place in their division heading into their bye week.

Christian had a strong night passing the ball, completing 15 passes for 142 yards and three touchdowns. His three touchdowns went to three different receivers, including his top receiver, Andre Plata. Christian also had a rushing touchdown but finished the night with -2 yards total on the ground.

Dottin picked up Christian's slack on the ground, rushing 14 times for 119 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught two passes for 17 yards and a score.

The Wildcats' defense was superb, limiting Spruce to a total of 164 yards on the game and a single score, which came in the third quarter. Quarterback Janarius Warren was only able to complete eight of his 21 passes for 78 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Their top rusher, Devin York, rushed four times for 58 yards.

Woodrow Wilson has their bye week next week before playing Thomas Jefferson on Friday, October 21 at Loos Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
