It isn't exactly like Mexican food is a rarity in Texas. There are, literally, dozens of small Mexican eateries in the Dallas-area and plenty of chains like Mi Cocina and On The Border as well. But a new restaurant named Velvet Tacos is opening on Henderson this weekend and it already has the praise of the media.

Velvet Taco has several things going for it. It's located right off 75 near Uptown and it has party-friendly hours (24 hours on weekends and late on weekdays).
