Members of the Class of 2002, along with their mothers, enjoy a reunion

The 2013-14 school year marks the 60th anniversary for St. John’s Episcopal School located near White Rock Lake. More than 400 parents, board members, alumni, alumni parents and friends helped the school celebrate its milestone anniversary at a party at The LOT on April 25.

Live music by DB5 and solo artists Zach McKinnon and Dale Riley provided the perfect backdrop for a breezy evening of good fun, great conversations, and casual dining. The highlight of the evening was the much-anticipated Zero to Sixty raffle drawing and announcement of the winners. A hallmark of St. John’s has always been its engaged parent community, and the Parents Association rallied to celebrate the anniversary with a $10,000 raffle.

With leadership from raffle co-chairs Val Adams, Cata Cooper and Ann West, the Parents Association exceeded its goal of raising $60,000 in 60 days, making raffle the largest single Parents Association fundraiser of the year. All proceeds from ticket sales will directly impact the programs and environment that distinguish a St. John's education.

Congratulations to the 2014 Raffle winners:

  • First Place: $10,000 Visa gift card – Kate Mackley
  • Second Place: $2,500 of NorthPark Gold – August Claybrook
  • Third Place: $1,000 of NorthPark Gold – Lori Bradley

The school concentrated its anniversary celebration, titled Zero to Sixty, over a 60-day period this spring. The concluding party was thrown in appreciation of the St. John’s community, present and past.
