Bulldog receiving lifetime achievement from former Senator John Carona in 2015.

The Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce (GEDCC) Board of Directors has experienced a great loss on April 25 with the passing of our dear friend and fellow board member, Bill “Bulldog” Cunningham.  For decades Bulldog tirelessly served the GEDCC in various capacities, including our cherished Past Chairman and the well-deserved recipient this past year of the Chamber's first "Lifetime Achievement Award”.

His passion and commitment to the GEDCC and the East Dallas community could never be overstated.  Among his many contributions, Bulldog began the Annual Economic Summit that has brought attention to economic development in East Dallas and has become the premier chamber event. He has accomplished what many strive to do every day; he made this world a better place and each one of us better for having had the opportunity to know him.

The GEDCC will strive to ensure his vision and dream for East Dallas becomes a reality and his legacy lives on. His wisdom and kind heart have been an asset to our Board, his laughter unmistakable, and his presence invaluable. Bulldog’s life has touched each of us in a special way and he will be greatly missed.  Our thoughts and Prayers are with his family.
