The J.L. Long football camp is set to run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day from Monday, August 20 until Thursday, August 23 at Lindsley Park. The camp is non-contact and is open to any seventh and eighth grade boys at J.L. Long wanting to play football.

However, the camp is in need of dad volunteers to ensure everything runs smoothly. Volunteer coaches don't have to have coaching experience but it would be preferred. Coaches don't have to be there every day; just come and go whenever able. Any interested dad should contact Randall Duke at 214-720-2220 immediately. The coaches will be meeting at Lakewood 1st and 10 on Wednesday, August 15 to discuss plans.

Parent volunteers are also needed to help hang new championship banners in the gym. The banner raising will likely start next week, depending on when construction at the school finishes up. Again, any interested volunteers should contact Randall Duke.
